I’ve been slowly trying to make my home feel livable. Not impressive — just warm, calm, and a little bit beautiful.
That’s how these glass jars ended up in my kitchen.
I use them for salt, sugar, ground coffee, and coffee beans. They’re sealed with cork stoppers, and they look lovely — simple glass, soft shapes, very quiet visually.
They’re not especially convenient.
When you open one, you take the lid off, and it’s basically a small ball. You put it somewhere, and it immediately feels like it wants to roll away. Every time, I think: this could have been designed better.
And yet, I keep them.
Because when I look at them lined up on the rolling board, the kitchen feels calmer. More intentional. More like a home than a place where things are just stored wherever they fit.
Right now, I’m not trying to optimise my life. I’m trying to create an atmosphere where I can breathe a little more easily. Where everyday things don’t feel harsh or temporary.
These jars don’t make cooking easier.
But they make the space feel softer.
And sometimes, that’s enough.
If you’re curious, these are the jars I’m using:
